The Canadian Centre for Architecture presents “Groundwork”, a three-part film and exhibition series exploring how contemporary architects engage with new project sites. Using documentary as a curatorial tool, “Groundwork” spotlights early project phases, revealing how architects tackle shifting environmental and disciplinary boundaries. The series features Xu Tiantian’s work on Meizhou Island, China; Berlin-based collective bplus.xyz’s European initiative for building preservation and Carla Juaçaba’s pavilions in Brazil’s Minas Gerais, where local collectives resist extractive agriculture.
