Celebrate fine foods in Parc Jean-Drapeau
Just in time for harvest season and summer barbecues, Les Rendez-vous gourmands is a celebration of everything delicious, in the heart of Parc Jean-Drapeau. Locals and visitors are welcome during this brand new outdoor culinary happening that will take place from August 23 to 25, 2024 at the beautiful Jardins des Floralies and help mark the 150th anniversary of Parc Jean-Drapeau. 150 years, already!
An open-air gastronomic sensation
Les Rendez-vous gourmands will bring together a number of renowned chefs and local restaurateurs led by Kamúy chef Paul Toussaint. Each will be offering an exceptional culinary experience in the enchanting setting of the Jardins des Floralies, where visitors and locals alike will be invited to taste local produce, discover food trucks, enjoy music and stroll from gastronomic delight to delight on this picturesque site.
If you haven’t made the trek to the islands in a while, now’s your chance — aside from being a mecca for music festivals and sporting events, Parc Jean-Drapeau is bursting with beautiful green nooks and crannies that make for a great getaway from the city, a mere 20-minute metro ride away. Located right by the Casino de Montréal, the Jardins des Floralies is one of the city’s most beautiful botanical gardens.
This project by Parc Jean-Drapeau in partnership with Tourisme Montréal promises to delight the taste buds while showcasing seasonal flavours. Several industry players will be present, including suppliers such as Les Survenants (the brains behind the First Fridays food truck events) and La Tablée des Chefs, to name a few. Purchase the $50 event passport and you’ll get to choose 6 gastronomic dishes to taste. So wear your stretchy pants!
