Located on Saint-Paul Street East in Old Montréal, Wachiya is an Indigenous-owned boutique with both an in-store and online presence that’s dedicated to showcasing and selling authentic Cree products from Eeyou Istchee. The name "Wachiya," meaning "Hello" in Cree, reflects the store's welcoming spirit and commitment to preserving and promoting Cree culture. Each piece, crafted with care and expertise, tells a story of the artist’s heritage and traditional techniques. Products are sourced directly from Eeyou producers or through the Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association, ensuring fair returns to artisans.
