Through collective work and collaboration, “Still Here! Indigenous People’s Voices in Montréal” an exhibition presented at the MEM (Centre des mémoires montréalaise), showcases insights gathered from two participatory research projects conducted with members of Montréal's Indigenous community and the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). These projects, carried out from 2019 to 2023, engaged Indigenous individuals in discussions and visual storytelling, focusing on their experiences in urban spaces. The exhibition’s design, shaped by seven project participants, emphasizes individual stories and discussions that bring Indigenous presences and experiences to light, helping bridge understanding in the city’s public spaces.
