Macbeth

Forget medieval Scotland, with its mists, castles and woolly tartan-clad warriors. Robert Lepage takes Michel Garneau's Quebec translation and transposes the action to the ruthless world of bikers. Duncan, the old leader of a powerful organized crime group, faces rebellion from one of his chapters, while at the same time a rival gang takes advantage of the support of a traitor to attack his organization. One of his lieutenants, the notoriously brutal Macbeth, crushes both mutinies. Then three junkies tell Macbeth that Duncan's place will one day be his. Spurred on by his imagination and his appetite for power, he opens up to his companion.
