The Longing of the Malagasy Butterfly

This choreographic project, featuring artist Claudia Chan Tak and part of the Insectarium’s Celebrations of Entomophilia, is the culmination of an artist residency offered by the Insectarium and the Conseil des arts de Montréal. Trained in visual arts and contemporary dance, the artist explores her Malagasy-Chinese origins through the prism of insects from the country of her ancestors in this proposal that combines installation, movement, video projection and her mother's textile creations.
