Festivals and events Leisure activities History Indoor Outdoor Downtown
A landmark event in the renaissance of Indigenous cultures from throughout the Americas and the world, this festival takes place over the course of ten days in Montréal’s cultural venues. An exciting multidisciplinary program offers a wide array of activities, ranging from major concerts, international film competitions, exhibitions, traditional dancing, live performances, seminars and meetings. The Place des Festivals becomes a place of discovery, transformed by a scenography reminiscent of the First Peoples’ world view and inspired by contemporary Indigenous artists influenced by a rich artistic and spiritual heritage. Not to be missed: the large central teepee, the long house and teepees.
