An author and literature professor embarks on an unexpected journey after agreeing to have a beer with Canadian soldiers to hear their stories from Afghanistan, which deeply challenge her convictions. For this project, Roxanne Bouchard immersed herself in the Canadian military world, meeting soldiers, listening to their stories, and reflecting on the impactful encounters that occur when one opens up to others.
