Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal National Historic Site
Leisure activites, nature and relaxation Leisure activities Museums Outdoor Airport and West Island
Located at the western tip of the Island of Montreal, the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal links Saint-Louis Lake and Des Deux-Montagnes Lake, at the mouth of the Ottawa River. The Saint-Louis Lake is one of Quebec's most popular lakes, which is why this heritage lock is the busiest in Quebec. Take a break in the park along the canal to admire the boats while they travel through the locks, observe the lock keepers at work, visit the Interpretation Panel Circuit and feel free to ask questions to the lock keepers to learn more about the canal and its history.
