World Trade Centre Montréal
Culture, arts and heritage Architecture Indoor Downtown
Inaugurated in 1992, the World Trade Centre occupies a full city block where Old Montréal and the Quartier international meet. Its modern architecture incorporates several historical buildings and a part of the old Ruelle des Fortifications. A portion of the Berlin wall offered to Montréal for its 350th anniversary, a majestic fountain, and the mural “Circulations” designed for the 20th anniversary of the Centre adorn the site. Connected to the underground pedestrian network, this veritable indoor village is covered with a massive glass skylight and houses shops, restaurants, and services. Throughout the year, this unique space, bathed in natural light, lends itself perfectly to all kinds of events such as weddings, banquets, and galas.
